A dream holiday to CanadaA few years ago I visited Banff and Jasper in Canada, it was a dream holiday and one of the places I had always wanted to visit for the turquoise lakes and wildlife. If you are a solo traveller or travelling by public transport when you arrive at Calgary Airport you can take a coach transfer with Banff Airporter https://banffairporter.com During my stay in Banff I stayed at the Holiday Lodge Bed and Breakfast. Karin who runs the bed and breakfast is a friendly person and makes you feel welcome. She showed me around some of the town and markets to make sure I knew where everything was. One of the things I enjoyed the most about staying with Karin was the homemade breakfast that included delicious pancakes and waffles. Whilst in Banff I went on a few tours with Discover Banff Tours. One of my favourite tours was visiting the orphaned bear Boo at Kicking Horse Grizzly Bear Refuge. Boo is the resident bear, when I visited he ended up playing in the water for a while. The tour also includes a gondola ride to a mountain top restaurant for lunch where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Candian Rockies. One of the other tours you can book in the Summer is Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Even though they are both beautiful, I was in awe by the turquoise scenery of Moraine Lake. If you are a photographer visiting the area, you will want longer to spend at the lakes. If you are a tourist and more interested in sightseeing I recommend Discover Banff Tours, they are polite and friendly and visit a variety of great locations. After I stayed in Banff I visited Jasper National Park. If you are travelling by public transport Sun Dog Tours provide coach transfers from Banff https://www.sundogtours.com The journey from Banff to Jasper was 5 hours. When I arrived at Joe and Patti's Elkview Accomodation, they made me feel welcome straight away and took me around some of Jasper. During my first day while Joe was showing me around we saw a grizzly bear near the railway tracks, he had ventured from the forest to the town. Some of the wildlife you can normally see near the town are Elk or Ground Squirrels. If you are visiting Jasper Joe and Patti are a lovely family to stay with, they cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much trouble for them. One of the things Joe and Patti enjoy the most about their Elkview Accomodation and Jasper Tour Company businesses is it gives them the opportunity to meet people from around the world. Joe loves to show people the beauty of Jasper National Park. When you stay Joe and Patti Urie you feel like you are living amongst nature and the local wildlife. For any wildlife lovers I can thoroughly recommend the Wildlife Evening Tour with Jasper Tour Company, it is a great opportunity to experience some of the Canadian wildlife in their natural habitat. One of the things I enjoyed the most about the wildlife tour was the opportunity to photograph mountain goats, bighorn sheep lamb, black bears, mule deer and coyotes, watching them in their natural habitat was an awesome and exciting experience. One of the other tours Joe does is Maligne Valley Tour which includes a cruise option to Spirit Island. Maligne Lake and Spirit Island were one of my favourite places, it is a beautiful picture postcard place. If you are visiting in Winter or Summer I can thoroughly recommend Jasper Tour Company their tours are not only fun and enjoyable but Joe has a genuine passion for wildlife and Jasper National Park. For more details on Joe's tours please visit http://www.jaspertourcompany.com What made my trip more special and memorable were the people I stayed with in Banff and Jasper. They made me feel welcome and part of the family. When you visit Canada it is diffcult not to fall in love with the turquoise lakes as the views will take your breathaway. I would love to visit Canada again one day, it is a dream destination for nature lovers. Some of my images from my trip are available to purchase as prints on my online Etsy Shop, they would look lovely as part of a travel decor theme in your home https://www.etsy.com/shop/natashaballetta
