Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest

I recently visited Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest near Stoke On Trent in Staffordshire. One of the reasons I was looking forward to visiting the gardens was because of a wild flower meadow that was planted by Nigel Dunnet. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the meadow, it was so beautiful and colourful. The meadow was like a sea of colour and reminded me of something you would see in a painting.

If you are into wildlife or nature Trentham Gardens is a lovely place to visit for the day, they have a beautiful lake with bird life and near the gardens is Trentham Monkey Forest. One of the things that makes places such as Monkey Forest more special is the opportunity to watch and walk amongst Barbary Macaque Monkeys in a woodland setting, sometimes they are walking distance from you. Because of the breeding season, Summer is an exciting time to go to the forest as they normally have baby monkeys.

If you would like to visit Trentham Gardens or Monkey Forest, please take a look at their websites

I used my Nikon D300s camera, Nikon 80-400mm and Nikon 105mm Macro lenses to photograph Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest.
